In 1959, after years selling flowers to wholesalers in Philadelphia, Robert Wilkins and his wife Doris leased a small store in Pitman, New Jersey, where they ended up sharing one desk and an adding machine. An expansion in 1973 led them to settle in Sewell, New Jersey, where the company's corporate headquarters now moves millions of flowers, plants, and gourmet food items across an area south of Connecticut to northern Virginia and over to Washington, D.C. They have grown to add four other company locations in California, Miami, Baltimore, and Edison, New Jersey.
